Audi A2 e-tron interior
The Audi A2 e-tron interior features the fabric Softwrap surface, a Fidlock magnetic storage system as standard, 396–1,336 liters of luggage space and up to a 660 W Sonos system.
The A2 e-tron cabin is where the car most clearly argues that premium does not have to mean heavier, larger or more expensive. It is a five-seat compact interior built around soft materials, honest storage and a display layout borrowed from cars well above it.

Softwrap
The defining element is Softwrap — a soft, fabric-covered surface that begins at the instrument panel, runs across the doors and continues into the rear compartment. Instead of the hard plastic that normally defines a compact car’s door tops and lower dash, the A2 e-tron wraps the occupants in a single continuous textile band.
It is a material decision with a weight and sustainability argument behind it as well as an aesthetic one: fabric is lighter than the layered soft-touch plastics it replaces, and the textiles used are made from 100% recycled polyester.
Displays and controls
The MMI panoramic display is standard on every version and combines two screens under one visual sweep:
| Display | Size |
|---|---|
| Audi virtual cockpit plus | 11.9" |
| Curved MMI touch display | 12.8" |
An augmented-reality head-up display is optional. There is no front passenger screen and no rear-seat screens — a deliberate simplification in a car built around efficiency and cost discipline.
Voice control, in-car navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. Wireless phone charging supports Qi 2.2 at up to 25 W, which is fast enough to keep a navigating phone gaining charge rather than losing it.

Fidlock storage system
Audi is the first premium manufacturer to fit the patented Fidlock magnetic fastening system as standard. Up to three adapter points sit on the center console and three more in the luggage compartment. A single click attaches a cupholder, a bag hook or a charging-cable pouch, and a twist releases it again.
It is a small idea with real everyday consequences: the console layout is not fixed at the factory, and the accessories that normally rattle around a compact car’s boot have somewhere defined to live.
The first-row center console is a floating design with a standard armrest, freeing usable storage underneath.
Seats
The A2 e-tron is a five-seater in every specification.
Front seats are offered in two designs:
| Standard seats | Sport seats | |
|---|---|---|
| Type | Twin Comfort | Twin Sport |
| Height-adjustable headrest | Yes | Standard |
| Electric lumbar adjustment | Optional | Optional |
| Backrest side bolster adjustment | – | Optional |
| Memory function | Optional | Optional |
| Seat ventilation | Not available | Not available |
| Massage | Not available | Not available |

The second row is a three-seat bench with height-adjustable headrests. Thanks to the 2,770 mm wheelbase and the flat floor of a dedicated EV platform, rear headroom and legroom are generous for a 4.3-meter car.

Luggage capacity
| Measurement | Value |
|---|---|
| Luggage compartment | 396 l |
| With rear seats folded | 1,336 l |
| Frunk (170 kW and 240 kW) | 13 l |
| Maximum roof load | 75 kg |
| Maximum payload including driver | 485 kg |
The 13-liter frunk on the two 84 kWh versions is small, but it is exactly the right size for the charging cables — which is the point, since it keeps them out of the main luggage compartment.
Panoramic roof
An optional panoramic glass roof adds 1.6 square meters of glazing. A special coating blocks UV radiation, which matters in a car with this much glass area relative to its cabin volume.
Sound systems
Three audio systems are offered:
| System | Speakers | Power |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | 7 | – |
| Audi sound system | 8 with subwoofer | 220 W |
| Sonos premium sound system | 14 | 660 W |
Materials and sustainability
Depending on configuration, the A2 e-tron uses more than 300 components containing recycled material across steel, aluminum and plastic, with over 100 components containing post-consumer recycled content. Interior fabrics use 100% recycled polyester, and some plastics are reprocessed from end-of-life vehicles.
Audi also simplified the material mixes used throughout the car — fewer bonded composites of dissimilar materials means the car is easier to recycle at the end of its own life.
