Audi A2 e-tron technology
Driver assistance, sensors, infotainment and connectivity in the Audi A2 e-tron, including trained parking, reverse assist and the AI-backed Audi assistant.
Audi fits the A2 e-tron with a driver assistance and infotainment package that is unusually complete for an entry-level model, and much of it is standard rather than optional.

Standard driver assistance
Every A2 e-tron leaves the factory with:
- Emergency brake assist with forward collision warning
- Swerve assist — supports an evasive steering maneuver once the driver initiates one
- Attention assist / drowsiness alert
- Adaptive cruise control
- Park assist plus with a reversing camera
- Cross-traffic alert and rear cross-traffic alert
- Traffic sign recognition
- Efficiency assist — uses navigation and traffic data to prompt lifting off early
- Automatic emergency steering
- ABS, electronic stability control and traction control
Optional driver assistance
- Adaptive cruise assist plus with emergency assist, which brings the car to a controlled stop if the driver becomes unresponsive
- Front cross-traffic assist
- Lane keeping and lane departure warning
- Surround-view cameras with a 3D model of the car and its surroundings
- Park assist plus with remote control from a smartphone
- Trained parking — the car learns and repeats up to five parking maneuvers
- Reverse assist — memorizes roughly the last 50 meters driven below 35 km/h and retraces it
- Proactive occupant protection
Night vision is not available on this model.

The optional corner radars and additional cameras are what enable the surround-view system, front cross-traffic assist and the more advanced parking functions — which is why those options tend to be bundled in the Tech packages rather than sold individually.
Infotainment and connectivity
The MMI panoramic display combines an 11.9-inch Audi virtual cockpit plus with a 12.8-inch curved MMI touch display. An augmented-reality head-up display is optional.

- Audi assistant with integrated AI, handling natural-language requests beyond fixed voice commands
- e-tron route planner with predictive charge scheduling, which preconditions the battery and plans stops around the actual charging curve
- Audi connected work — Microsoft Outlook and Teams integration for calendar and meetings
- Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, standard
- In-car navigation, standard
- Voice control, standard
- Wireless phone charging with Qi 2.2 at up to 25 W
Gesture control is not offered.
Technology packages
The optional equipment is grouped into three tiers:
- Tech — the entry bundle
- Tech plus — adds the more advanced assistance and lighting options
- Tech pro — the fullest specification, including the surround-view system and the advanced parking functions
Alongside these sits the efficiency package, which is not a technology bundle as such but the combination of sport suspension and aerodynamic measures that unlocks the model’s lowest consumption figures.
Charging and energy management
Beyond the route planner, the A2 e-tron manages energy through:
- Four driving modes — comfort, balanced, efficiency and dynamic
- Four recuperation levels, from D1 to D3 on the paddles plus a B position for one-pedal driving
- Battery preconditioning ahead of a planned DC charging stop, triggered by the route planner
- Bidirectional charging via Vehicle-to-Load, and Vehicle-to-Home in Germany, Austria and Switzerland
