Audi A6 e-tron panoramic roof

The Audi A6 e-tron can be equipped with a smart panoramic glass roof whose transparency changes electrically. Polymer-dispersed liquid-crystal technology divides the roof into nine switchable segments. Occupants can choose between four preset patterns, ranging from largely transparent to opaque, using the roof controls.

Unlike a conventional sunroof, the emphasis is on adjustable light and glare control rather than opening the glass. Availability varies by market and equipment package.
