Intersection assist monitors crossing traffic and can warn or brake when the car enters a junction at low speed.
Intersection assist uses the vehicle’s camera and radar data to monitor traffic approaching from the sides at a junction. At low speed, it can provide visual and acoustic warnings and, when necessary, apply a short braking intervention.
Sensor visibility, road geometry and weather can limit detection. The driver remains responsible for checking the junction. Availability varies by market and equipment level.
