Audi A6 e-tron safety technology
The Audi A6 e-tron combines a comprehensive restraint system with preventive and active safety technology.
Occupant protection
The Audi A6 e-tron uses front, side and curtain airbags to protect occupants in a collision. A center airbag between the front seats helps reduce contact between the driver and front passenger in a side impact. The exact airbag and rear-seat protection equipment depends on market and specification.
Airbag system used by the PPE-based Audi A6 e-tron
Seat-belt pretensioners and load limiters work with the airbags. When equipped, proactive occupant protection can prepare the cabin for a detected critical situation by tensioning the belts and initiating closure of the windows and panoramic roof.
Active safety
Audi pre sense front monitors the road ahead and can warn the driver or apply emergency braking when it detects a collision risk. Lane-departure warning, attention monitoring and other assistance functions supplement the passive protection. Standard and optional equipment varies by country and model year; see the driver-assistance section for individual systems.
Euro NCAP
The Audi A6 e-tron received a five-star rating in Euro NCAP’s 2025 assessment. Euro NCAP highlighted the stable passenger compartment and good protection of critical body areas in the frontal-offset test. See the complete Euro NCAP assessment.
