Audi e-tron

The Audi e-tron was Audi’s first series-production battery-electric model. The e-tron 55 had its world premiere on September 17, 2018; Audi later added the Sportback, the smaller-battery 50 drivetrain and the three-motor e-tron S.

Former model: The original e-tron model family was replaced by the updated Audi Q8 e-tron for 2023. This section documents the earlier model for owners and used-car buyers.

The e-tron combined a large luxury-SUV cabin with electric quattro all-wheel drive, adaptive air suspension and towing capability. In Norway, it became the country’s best-selling new passenger car in 2020. Audi produced the 100,000th e-tron in April 2021.

Model family

The range comprised SUV and Sportback versions of the e-tron 50, e-tron 55 and e-tron S. The 50 used a 71.2 kWh gross / 64.7 kWh usable battery, while the 55 and S used a 95 kWh gross battery. Usable capacity varied by model year and software version.
