AUDI E7X technology

The AUDI E7X is built around a deeply connected, intelligent technology platform jointly developed with SAIC. It brings together comprehensive driver assistance, advanced sensors, and a China-specific digital ecosystem in one package.

AUDI 360 Driving Assist

The E7X features the AUDI 360 Driving Assist system, co-developed with Momenta and equipped with a lidar sensor for enhanced environmental perception at long range and in complex scenarios.

The system covers:

• Highway driving assistance (longitudinal and lateral control)
• Urban driving assistance
• Memory parking for garages and parking lots
• Non-standard parking capability and head-in parking
• Dynamic warning indicators projected onto the road surface
• Predictive distance warnings for vehicles ahead

Driver assistance systems

The E7X comes equipped with an extensive suite of driver assistance features as standard:

• Lane keeping and lane departure warning
• Drowsiness alert
• Reversing camera and 360° surround camera
• Rear cross traffic alert (RCTA) and cross traffic alert (CTA)
• Hill descent assist and hill start assist
• Anti-lock braking system (ABS)
• Automatic emergency braking
• Traction control and electronic stability control
• Left turn crash avoidance
• Forward collision warning
• Automatic emergency steering
• Traffic sign recognition
• Efficiency assist

Night vision is not available on the E7X.

Sensors

The AUDI E7X features a comprehensive sensor suite for driver assistance and parking:

Ultrasonic sensors: 12 sensors covering all corners, front, rear, sides, and B-pillars for complete close-range awareness.

Cameras: Front, rear center, all four corners, plus optional mirror-mounted cameras on both sides.

Radar sensors: Forward-facing radar for adaptive cruise control and emergency braking functionality.

Lights

The E7X features vertically arranged digital Matrix LED headlights as a key exterior and technical highlight, enabling precise beam control and dynamic light functions.

Sound system

The Bose Performance Series sound system delivers 26 speakers with 360° spatial audio across the cabin. Features include:

• Four world-first audio technologies
• 360° spatial audio architecture
• DSP processing up to 2,000 MIPS
• Intelligent road noise isolation

The Flagship quattro receives an upgraded 9.1.4.8 BOSE Performance configuration (value ¥15,000).

Rear-wheel steering

The E7X features bidirectional 14° rear-wheel steering as part of the standard equipment package. With a steering angle of up to 14° in both directions, the system reduces the turning radius to just 5.14 metres — exceptional manoeuvrability for a vehicle of this size.

Panoramic roof

The Smart Electrochromic Panoramic Roof covers 2,195 m² of glass area and offers electronically adjustable tinting with:

• 99.99% UV isolation
• 99.9% infrared isolation
• 99.85% solar isolation

The Flagship quattro upgrades this to the Smart Star Diamond Dome Set (智能星钻穹顶套装, value ¥20,000) — a dual-mode ceiling system combining the electrochromic panoramic roof with a smart star diamond dome design, offering both a clear sky view and a starlit ambience at the touch of a button.

Soft-close doors

All four doors feature electric soft-close — push gently and the door pulls itself shut silently.

• Pioneer and Pioneer Pro: passive electric soft-close (静音电吸门, value ¥5,000)
• Pioneer Smart Long-Range and above: powered electric soft-close (静音电吸电动门, value ¥17,000) — active power assist provides a more premium closing action

Connectivity

The E7X is built on AUDI and SAIC’s Advanced Digitized Platform, enabling seamless integration with China’s digital infrastructure. Voice control (Audi Assistant) is standard equipment. The cabin features a multi-screen setup with Audi Smart Island, optimized for connected services in the Chinese market.
