Occupant protection

The Audi Q6 e-tron uses front, side and curtain airbags to protect occupants in a collision. A center airbag between the front seats helps reduce contact between the driver and front passenger in a side impact. The exact airbag and rear-seat protection equipment depends on market and specification.

Seat-belt pretensioners and load limiters work with the airbags. When equipped, proactive occupant protection can prepare the cabin for a detected critical situation by tensioning the belts and initiating closure of the windows and panoramic roof.

Active safety

Audi pre sense front monitors the road ahead and can warn the driver or apply emergency braking when it detects a collision risk. Lane-departure warning, attention monitoring and other assistance functions supplement the passive protection. Standard and optional equipment varies by country and model year; see the driver-assistance section for individual systems.

Euro NCAP

The Audi Q6 e-tron received a five-star rating in Euro NCAP’s 2024 assessment, scoring 91 percent for adult-occupant protection and 92 percent for child-occupant protection. See the complete Euro NCAP assessment.
