Communication light
The communication light proactively warns other road users of accidents and breakdowns by displaying warning symbols in the digital OLED rear light. The data from local hazard information is used to warn of events on the route such as breakdowns, accidents, reduced visibility, and skidding hazards.
Furthermore, in the communication light the illuminated area of the digital OLED segments automatically enlarges when other road users approach the stationary vehicle from behind.
During an automated parking process the communication light displays a specific tail light signature with a corresponding indicator symbol within the digital OLED rear light.
The division of the OLEDs into small, individually controllable segments with a three-dimensional effect enables new light scenarios with impressive staging. The dynamic light staging of the Coming Home/Leaving Home function appears almost futuristic. It is also coordinated with the selected tail light signature and provides additional brightness on the way to or from the vehicle.
